"My mother wore a full set of dentures all of her life and it was the one thing she complained about. She never had a set that truly fit, so she constanly had to use products to try to keep then in place.

I swore that it would never happen to me so I had dental care on a regular basis and made it a point to try to take care of my teeth. Over my lifetime I went through root canals, crowns, caps, faces, and night guards - you name it. But by the time I reached my early 60's, I was also receiving periodontal care, implants, but with so many other teeth in jeopardy it looked like we would be making new bridges or add implants on a regular basis. I was afraid my worst fear was coming true - that I would end up one day with dentures like my mom.

Then Dr. Colclasure talked to me about a fairly new procedure called All-on-4, one appliance replacing all of my upper teeth mounted on four implants that can only be roved by a dentist. It seemed like an answer to my prayers. Dr. Steven Molpos, an oral surgeon, extrated my upper teeth and inserted four implants. He screwed in my temporary appliance before I woke up from the surgery.

I believe it was the best decision we could have made. The pay-off came a couple of weeks after Dr. Colclasure placed my final appliance. I was attending a funeral when a complete stranger stopped me and said she just had to tell me that I had a beautilful smile. I didn't explain how I got it. I just thanked her and walked away with complete confidence that my teeth looked perfectly natural. Dr. Colclasure had taken great pains in making sure that we choose the right shade to match my bottom teeth and my appliance looked like natural teeth. I couldn't ask for anything more and I don't have to worry about the "fuss" of wearing a denture."
